Mophead is a four-groomer Belconnen salon that books fewer dogs a day so every coat gets the time it actually needs, and no dog is ever left in a cage under a dryer.
Coat check to collection, in one visit
Every dog gets the same order of operations. What changes is how long each part takes, because that is set by the coat and the dog, never by the clock.

Every dog meets us on the floor, hand out, before the table. Anxious and elderly dogs go in the quiet slots.
Two shampoos where it is needed, one where it is not
A wash, a long rinse, then rinsed again. Nails and ears get a first look here too.
Towel first. The dryer never runs alone
Hand or stand dried at the table with a groomer beside the dog, brushing as it dries. No cage, ever.

Two ways in
Start with the free fifteen-minute coat check: no obligation, and you leave with a written price for the groom your dog actually needs. Puppies under about twelve weeks start with the three-visit Puppy Start Pack instead, which is mostly treats and a hand along the coat, not a real groom at all.
Tell us when you book and we put your dog in the quiet slot at the start or end of the day, with two dogs in the salon at a time, never a crate bank. If a groom does not finish, your dog goes home part-done and you pay for what was done, not what was booked.

Coat care
The plain oatmeal shampoo we use in the bath, in a takeaway bottle. Dilutes ten to one, does not strip a coat and suits the itchy dogs that Canberra's dry winters produce.

A light spray to work through a dry coat before you brush it, so the comb slides rather than drags. This is the one thing that most owners of long-coated dogs are missing.
